Cam for a 01 Z-28.... Only for the street. Maybe a track run or two,
I'm not looking to supercharge or turbo down the road.
The only things that will be done are LT's and lid, cutout.
I'd like to keep some sort of gas mileage.
A good sounding idle would be nice too.
Any help would be great.
TR224 or bigger?
MTI X1

G5X2?

ive looked into those exact cams myself!! lol.. and im still up in the air. i know the 224 cam u can never go wrong with. but lots of guys have gone bigger. out of those i would go with the x1 out of those. im up in the air on a 231/237 or something bigger.
The largest cam that should be used "cam only" wise is the G5X3 112 (234/242) or something similar so that you're not losing too much down low and shifting the powerband too far to the right. JMHO!
I'd say for a nice middle of the road cam is the TR 230/224 or the MTI X1. Those two cams will provide a very nice curve and be very streetable but still pull hard up top! Good luck.

Anywhere from 375-410 or so horse would be nice. I'm not really good with car motors and cams but give me a 60 degree V6 two stroke watch out haha. so what all is needed I figure new springs, but what about pushrods and rockers?
