what is the highest you can go on compression and still be able to run only pump gas safely. 93 octane

in the 11:1 area depending on the cam, gears, and vehicle weight, alot of factors go into detonation resistance.

like above states, allot has to do with the cam but amny factors come in. I'd personally shoot for 11:1 with bigger chamber on the heads and a smaller gasket. Like stock 243 castings and .040 gasket for example.
