Default Down to 2 cams. Tell me what to get

First is the TR224 on 112lsa with zo6 ls6 heads. Second is a custom patriot grind 225/229 .580/.590 on a 114 lsa with ported patriot ls6 heads. Car is a total street car never going to the track. Just looking for a very street friendly cam. Would like to get as close to 400 at the wheels as possable. Car is going to have full bolt ons longtubes pulley ls6 intake. I think the 224 might have better low end but lack on top and the patriot have better top end since it will use ported ls6 heads not stock. Car is a 99 corvette A4

If these are your only choices, I say get the TR224 with the patriot heads.

If your open to other options;
I say TR224 with PRC 5.3s.

Im starting to lean more towards the 224 because of the 112 lsa i think it will give me the sound im looking for and its a proven cam.

the 224 is a proven cam....and makes a great street cam.

which ever heads you chose, keep the intake runners small...to boost low and mid range power.

those 5.3s are aroudn 220cc...which could hurt you down low....NOT what you want on a street car.

I talked to a dyno shop on corvette forum either would be easy to tune. I'm just wondering if the TR would give me more low end then the patriot even though the 225 isn't that much bigger

you can hit your goal with that 224, but everyone has it I was going to do same thing and instead went with a Vengeance custom 226.228 over .580 lift. Going to have it fired up this weekend (untuned)... i decided to be different, and a bud had it in a c5 stock stall 2.73 rearend and it drove untuned..(the vengeance that is). Anything is going to need to be tuned, so dont be scared to go a hair bigger as long as yuo have all the bolt ons. Dont go over 230 though on the street unless your just crazy most of us are
