Default Replace valve seals along with springs?

I really haven't heard much chatter about replacing valve seals while upgrading springs. Having a high mileage LS1, I would assume my seals should be replaced. Are the stock ones from GM or (insert favorite parts store) the seals of choice? How about a P/N too.

Some kits come with seals or you just get them anyways.

I went to get them, they want 19 bucks per head for seals. Anyone else remember when you used to get a box of like 1000 seals for 20 bucks ahha?

I think one of the new "seals of choice" are the new Viton seals. Comp Cams Part # CCA-511-16. They also fit inside a double spring set up if that's what you're using.

I replaced my Manley Valvesprings with PRC Dual Valvesprings about 9000 miles ago. The seals were replaced at the same time. I have been loosing oil and thought it was the oilpan gasket since it was leaking. That was replaced and I started to loose even more oil eventhough the under side of the engine was bone dry. I changed the oil and had 2 of the springs from the PRC valve stem seals on the drain plug. I pulled all of the valve seals and 15 were trashed and moving on the valve stem. The plugs were ashed on 6 of 8 cylinders. I went back to the seals from Thunder Racing and I had great success in the past. Bottom line, not feelin' it with the PRC Valve Stem Seals.
