Ms3 Or Tr230
Well ive been savin up to get a bike for awhile but ive decided that i wanna live a little longer lol...So im just gonna mod the car.. Im just tryin to figure out which cam i should do...I love the way the MS3 sounds at idle but i heard it doesnt make as good of power as the tr230 through out the rev range..This will be my daily driven car btw..Will have all mods listed in the sig, along with ls6 intake, tci 3500 converter, and xxxxxcam...Then goin to do a 12 bolt when i get some more money...But anyways...which cam would you recommend?

the ms3 is a greast cam but you would have to have a high tolerance for the way it will drive as a daily driver. and it really doesnt shine unless you have a good intake, nice heads, and big stall.
the tr 230 works great with stock heads and intake also will not need a big stall.

i got a MS3 and im putting it in this week, from what i've found out about the MS3 for a DD, you just need to have a really good tune and if u have that it just depends on how heavy ur foot is lol

Tr230 for sure. I have been driving this cam all summer and love it. Power kicks on around 2k! I raced a couple of big cam guy like the MS3 and stayed right with them if not beat them. For the street I would go with the TR230. If your going to race all of time or go to the track and care about every tenth I would say MS3.
The Tr230 also has sounds awsome at idle and under load.

Another vote for the TR230....I absolutely love it. It makes awesome power at any RPM and sounds very nice at idle. It drives great on the street and at the track. I ran for the first time last night with it and turned an 11.93 at 113...this is with stock 10-bolt/3.23's, and 3/4's tank of gas. The new 9" and 3.90's going in soon ought to improve upon that nicely. Great cam choice...I think you'd love it.

Alright,
Being a new idiot here, I gotta ask what is the MS3? Is that the TSP Magic Stick v.3?
And the TR230, which one are you guys referring to? From what I saw on their site, there are two of them.
99-TR230/236-112 (I'm assuming its this one)
99-TR230/224-111
Does anyone have a sound clip of their car with the TR cam?
Sorry for the dumb questions, just trying to learn...

I say the TR230 for a street car. I ran this cam for about a year and loved it. I'm actually going back to a cam only set up and I would like to have this cam again. Great street ability.
I don't have experience with the MS3 but it is very big and would require you to spin it hard to get the real power out of it.
The TR230 I had was on a 111lsa and sounded good at idle.
