Default recommended pipe diameter for true duals? ls1

w/ shorty headers, im planning on doing a true dual exhaust that will be dumped right after the transmission. 3'' i hear isnt good because lack of back pressure. which diameter tubing would be best recommended? 2.25? 2.5? 2.75?

any input would be greatly appreciated

i think most people do 2.5 just because of the amount of space over the axel, otherwise I believe most would try for 3

What mods do you currently have and how much power are you shooting for? If your car is mostly stock 2.5" should be fine. If you have H/C or FI I would go for 3".

I bought my car done and its got a true duals, 2.5 inch. Its plenty. Dual 2.5 inch tucked next to each other is better than 3.

You should be fine with the 2.5" with that cam. Also you really should go with LT headers you will see much better gains than with the shorties.
