help deciding on a cam
help deciding on a cam im pretty knew with modding. im basically stock with high flow lid and cat back. maf.. as you can see stock for the most part.. what would be the best bang for the buck cam, yet have it a daily driver as well as legal in ca? im looking for some gains as well as for the sound, yet be legal.. also how hard is it to do it myself? is there a thread for a diy? btw. im a 02 z28

I would def. look into headers, stall or better clutch, and underdrive pulley. if you do a cam before these mods the cam wouldnt produce nearly as much power. A small 224 cam would put you in the upper 300rwhp area.
A cam swap isnt as hard as youd think.. there are plenty of write ups online.. Just try a search.

Engine needs breathing room. Which means full exhaust before a cam. And if you're still on LS1 intake, time to up to the LS6 or FAST90.
Once that's done, a 224 is in order for an all around, streeter cam.
