Ahh Vince, it was a JOKE BRO. No harm intended. Hell this is coming from a guy who made 399 for 2 years with my bullshit heads/cam I was running. Trust me, I know the feeling ALL TOO WELL. Again, sorry for the low blow bro

another vote for the "do away with the secret cam BS" (these guys are funny )

keeping the specs "secret" is stupid....

When I was scoaping out my cam, I checked TR, LG, Comp, Crane, and MTI. MTI, Comp, and Crane didn't have anything that jumped out at me so it was down to TR and LG.

Since I have LGs coilovers I am really happy with their products and was really looking to buy one of their cams. Well, that didn't last long. When I called to get the specs so I could compare cams with TR's cams and my heads, I got the "we are not able to give out the spec....".

Well....now I have a TR224/224 cam...so that tells you what I thought of the "secret" stuff. I figured they can keep their secrets and TR can have my business. Not only did they loose my business but now I'm a devoted TR person. Whenever someone asks where they should get their cam, right away I say "call TR....they will set you up....".

"I wanna know cam specs"

They presented their results, if your interested call them up. I'm sure they'll answer any questions you have about streetability, PtV clearance etc!

Would you buy "secret pistons" or "secret heads"?

Yes, I would. I have. And they worked as promised. If you are a paying customer, these "secret" items are not kept secret.

Quit crying about cam specs, there isn't some magical camshaft out there that makes dyno numbers appear. 440 rwhp from heads/cam is still damn good in my book. If you guys want the cam specs, why not just call FLP and discuss the package with them?

Not true in every case. I personally have a cam in my car that was being tested by a speed shop to see what power it would make (didn't work as well as was hoped so I'm having it swapped again) but to this day I'm still not sure what it is. Not only that, but had LG's specs not leaked out several people that received the G5X-2 package were not told any specs on it either.

I would sure buy secret pistons/heads/cam/intake whatever. If the company was there to sell results, thats what I buy.

Also, ther is MUCH more to a cam than the duration at .050 and the lobe separation. So what if FLP comes out and says "Its 230/230 on a 114, 572/558 valve lift". WTF does that *really* tell you? Can you go and decide between this cam and the TR 230/230? Do you know how its going to idle in your car? Do you know what it will do with the port job on YOUR heads?

FLP and every other company here should be in the business of selling results. If you are just into buying a cam, then you should be calling them and discussing what your application is and whether they can promise results for that app. with this *package*.

I see more useless info in the way of peak HP numbers, quarter mile ETs, peak flow bench #s, and now cam "spec"s than I can digest.

The secret "cam squad" is funny as all get out. There is nothing like a good sense of humor and gathering information at the same time.

Peak HP and Flow numbers are just a reference. ET's prove what your setup can do.

Not really. A whole timeslip will tell you what a "setup" will do... and then the DA and the weight of the car would be required too. Ive seen cars go 10s with cams with less than .500 lift. Thats NOT alot of information

Who has an LS1 running 10's N/A with a cam with less than .500 lift???

If you have a car that runs 10's, then you have a quick car with a nice setup...

Timeslip with DA and car weight tells the most IMHO, There are trick advantages out there look at JPR with his HVLD head design.Cam specs are critical to fat power curve, head flow that complements cars camshaft and intended usage is also very important. I personally think GTP is underated with the very talented Craig Gallant.

I'm planning to buy a "secret" engine block soon...

..it will be made of a secret metal and will be guranteed to make a bunch of HP...

The seller told me he spent lots of money developing the block and therefore, he could not tell anyone about the secret metal it is cast from....
