Question Stock Connecting Rods?

My TA is soon to receive a head and cam package and i am also replacing my pistons due to some problems i have encounterd and was wondering if my stock rods will hold up or if it is time to upgrade. I have heard that stock connecting rods will hold up to 500hp is this true or BS?

Thx,
-John-
