Yeah they have sniffers in va, but they just hook into obdII, if computer is set correctly u are good to go.... nothing up the tale

Well, if the guy will overlook/not look at the fact there are no cats, or you can hollow them out, or used my preferred method:

A folded $20 to the technician

I would say that you should get a tune from a tuner that has your car. Sending the PCM away seems like there are to many different conditions, such as exhaust flow intake flow, IAT..... I had my car tuned and it drives fine, although it does surge a bit when i bog it really bad or when its cold in the morning. If i was you i wouldn't waste my time sending it to TSP just get a custom tune.

if the car was driveable, i wouldn't bother with the MO tune. but seeing as i've already got 1 year of retunes from them, and the tuner can't get me in for another 2 weeks, i don't see where it would hurt to try.

i think what i'm going to do is send the computer to them and try to get it a little closer. going by what mikey said, i'll probably scrap the catted y-pipe, and go ory. then i'll head to mike and get the thing tweaked.

trevor -- do you all lock the pcm in any way after you tune it? just wondering, because i don't wanna run into any issues at the dyno.

They didn't lock mine and my first tune I had was a mail order tune from TSP. Pretty impressive to have so many variables and get it so drivable, I'm and A4 though . Good luck!

We do not lock PCMs. You shouldn't have any issues at all if someone else tunes it afterwards.

Don - it's not running right just yet, but i LOVE the idle sound!! it's gonna be a monster after a little dyno time!! you'll be pleased.

Jon, i'll probably be sending the PCM back to ya at least one more time just to get it close enough to drive for a while. I know you boy can get it right!

Speed Density, as in no longer using your MAF. A lot of big cam guys say that it makes the cam more drivable. I have no idea myself; but may try it someday.
