That depends on how good the heads flowed before milling. You'll be killing some CFM by milling, but everyone already knows that. That is why the guy previously recommended you to check out flow numbers for both heads after milling, at the same cc.

tsp 2.5 5.3 and be done w/ it
on stock cubes your not going to get a much better budget head out of the box!

i think the stage 2 ls6 heads would be way overkill for your setup.
those are generally used on bigger displacement motors

I went with PRC LS6's. Milled 'em .030, .045 Cometics and 2.02 valves. 462 rwhp with a Rex... Lots of torque

5.3's without a doubt

If you're comparing 2 heads with the same or very similar flow numbers, always go with the one with the smallest ports for the best low end, mid range, driveability, and in most cases the most hp. The only downside to the 5.3 is there is less piston to valve clearance, but you should be fine with the cam you already have. Just don't run a thinner head gasket without flycutting.

So would milled LS6 style be a bad idea?

I like the LS6, but my post sent me to AFR's 205. You'r cam is the same one i'am looking at 228/232.I think the best way would be flow #'s, And mostly track times with the same set up.

I like TSP 5.3L, TEA are just as good and I am looking for the most bang for the buck. I am sure AFR and QTP are better heads, but who can afford some 2500 to 3500 heads?
I sure as hell can't.

I'm thinking the 2.5 5.3s and the Torquer V2 with full bolt ons. Would this set-up with GM gaskets keep me away from fly cutting?
I don't want a set-up that pulls hard at 4000+. I'd rather have something that pulls pretty strong through as much of the range as possible.
