Question what GM headgasket for a 99 ls1 241 heads? why are ls1's so confusing?

I have searched for HOURS and it is a mess. I have a 99 ls1 engine that i am putting some west coast racing ported 241's on. what head gasket do i need? I ahve been looking at the GM MLS gaskets but they are listed for 2002-2004. what is the difference? and what part do i need for my car?
thanks
chris

I believe the 241's came on the 01-02's, but my set of 241's came off an 02 ss. So I'd assume you'd need the 2002-2004 gasket.

I was looking at https://ls1tech.com/forums/advanced-engineering-tech/111207-ls1-head-combustion-chamber-cc-volume-vs-cr.html and it brought back a memory. Can the grpahit gaskest be used on all LS1s for better quinch (provided P to V is good)?

Are the graphite gaskets still available from GM?

What are the part numbers for the two styles of head gaskets?

02 and newer are thicker gaskets. .056 for early and .06 for 02+.

You can use which ever gasket you want providing you don't have a 98' block with the infamous "notch". Use the graphite if you want a bit more compression, or the MLS if you want less.
