Default Help me plan my path to power!

I've done LOTS and LOTS of reading. I've looked at a fair number of dyno sheets. I've reached the end of my limited expertise and am asking you all for input and insight.

My Car: 04 GTO
My Goals: To have a reliable daily driver that is also a very capable road course car. 1/4 mile time will surely get into the 12's and maybe even 11's, but that's a secondary goal to the road course and reliability.

Current Status: I've already done a number of bolt-ons(Pulley, Headers, Cat-back, K&N, Tune) that have given me about 50hp. I've also done a fair number of suspension mods with a whole lot still to come.

Ultimate Goal: Budget permitting I plan to work my way up to a Magnacharger. Along the way I'll want Heads and Cam as well as a few more lesser items.

Key Elements: Ideally I'd like to set it up for a power-band of 2,500-6,500rpm with the rev limited set at 7k. This will give me greater gear choice flexibility on the road course so I won't end up short shifting as often or downshifting when I can get to my traction limit in my current gear. Yes, I already know better valve springs will be a must as will better pushrods. Power wise my target zone is ~500rwhp.

Heads: I'm sure I'll want some heads, which heads would suit this power level and set up best?

Cam: I've done some research and have a short-list of the following cams-
Lingenfelter-
GT2-3 207/220 .571/.578 118.5 LSA
GT7 208/230 .554/.546 121 LSA
Competition Cams-
HIGH LIFT XR265HR 212/218 .558/.563 115 LSA

Can anyone give me some good comparison info on those 3 cams? Especially the GT7?(I know it is specifically designed for FI applications, but that's about all I know)

I'm going with cams that will idle well, not kill the springs too quickly(especially lapping at 6k+rpm), and not rob the low end too much. Also, I gather the Maggies like high LSA cams.

I've seen direct comparisons of my current setup vs another car with the same bolt-ons and the GT2-3. It looks good, but I'd like to know if the Comp cam or the GT7 will be better in the long run with heads and a Maggie?

Finally, is there a particular order I should do the build-up and are there any particular supporting mods that would be recommended along the way?

Thanks for you input!

I'm not 100% ruling out the other superchargers, but I'm more familiar with the Maggies.

If you are going FI save your money and skip the heads (unless its to lower compression allowing more boost). Not saying you won't get gains with new heads but they will be minimal since you are already forcing air in. If you are 100% going FI make sure to get an FI friendly cam as well. I'm not too familiar with all the cams you speced but my buddy got the GT2-3 from lingefelter and a 7 PSI procharger made somewhere in the neighborhood of 550 RWHP & TQ.

BTW nice car

Thanks! 1 of 1013 and dropping...

I'll stay under 10psi for sure. I want it to last. I suppose I should look into which superchargers best handle high rpm? I want it all to be safe at 6-7k.
