LS1 Fuel pump question......

LS1 Fuel pump question...... Hey guys, I have a few questions to pick you brains with. I'll try to be as straitforward as I can..........
1. Does the LS1 (99) have a fuel pressure regulator? I don't see a return line to the tank.
2. There is somthing on the drivers side fuel rail that looks like a regulator, but it dosent have a return line coming off of it. What is it?
3. Finally, what is the reccomended fuel pressure ration on a stock LS1 engine?

1) The intank pump and regulator, that is why there is only one line running from tank to engine.
2) That is a surge valve. Helps keep the fuel pressure steady.
3) 58psi is the recommended pressure.
