Default What to spend $1500 on?

I have about $1500 to throw into the '01 WS.6 M6 LS6 block. I already have headers coming, check my sig. Things I have in mind are as follows: cam, nx, heads, full ls6 conversion, b&m ripper, eibach springs, tsp lid. I don't know what to get. I need some ideas fellas. I like the outside of the car looking stock, the sleeper look. The car needs some bigger ***** to get its reputation built. If I decide to cancel my warranty that will be about $1500 more I can spend. I drive about 200 highway miles every weekend plus about another 100 during the week.

with that 1500, get a mild cam (nitrous cam), chromoly push rods, stronger valve springs, high flow exhaust(cutout will work), and a 150 wet kit, (shifter if you got enough left over)keep in mind you WILL blow your rearend out and sizzle your clutch if you use the nitrous before 2nd gear! it may last for a little while but beleive me it will go! with these mods your car should be one bad azz mo foe considering the money spent, cant beat getting over 500 horses for around $1500

a -complete- nitrous kit will be almost a grand. id save a few hundred more bucks and get this:

TSP/Patriot Stage II Heads/Cam Package: $1,879.99

*Stage II Patriot Performance Cylinder Heads, Fully Assembled
*Your choice of TSP Camshaft All of our cams are listed on our website.
*Manley hardened pushrods
*Rollmaster double-roller, heat-treated timing set with Torrington bearing

w/o the rollmaster it would be even cheaper...yeah, you'd have to pay sales tax, but shipping would be free.

I've run plenty of $550 new ($350 used) nitrous kits with no problems. That is the only way to go if you want big time cheap performance.

You can get any cam thats listed with the TSP/Patriot head package, so there are a couple of choices for a N20 friendly camshaft. The HP numbers really depend on the Camshaft design, compression ratio and how many bolt-ons you already have.

CNC heads are cheaper because there is not allot of Labor involved in the headwork, compared to hand-ported heads. The CNC machine does all the hard work once it has a sample port/program to work from.

BTW since your in San Angelo, I thought I would tell you about our first dyno day we're having here in Lubbock. We're having it this Saturday starting at about 9am until all cars that show up have dyno'd. It will cost $50 for 3 pulls with the wideband O2 sensor logging. If we get caught up with our own cars, we'll make a trip down to Wall Dragway again, hopefully in a month or 2. If you make it up here, look for me in a TSP shirt and I'll show you a Patriot head display.

Towards the end of last season. We brought a red 99 C5 that ran very low 11's there, the track wasn't hooking, as it ran 10.80 at a higher elev. track at Idalou Dragway. There were quite a few cars from Lubbock that made it down that time, it was a Friday night.

I say get heads and cam as well. Do you mean you would have 3 grand to spend if you cancel your warranty? You may as well cancel it since you are modding IMO.
