Default Good mild cam? TR224 114 lsa. Best for street?

Seems this cam is just the best for a street car with full bolt ons and ls6 heads?

it seems like it would be a good choice if you have to do smog.

You got me, TR224 114 lsa and 243 heads. I've only had it together for about a month. It runs great, low RPMs are pretty much like stock. I can be in 6th on the highway at 1400RPM no problem. And it pulls much harder than stock in the mid to upper RPM. Feels very strong.

I absolutely love mine. I'm sure it runs a little hotter than some 224 combos since I have 5.3 heads milled .018". I have been driving mine for a few months without a tune yet & it hasn't had a single issue. Runs great but will definetly benefit even more when I finally get my intake on & a tune in it.

The TR 224 on 114 is an awesome cam. It'll act like stock, but will produce much better numbers.

Any thought on the Comp XR265HR? 212/218-114 Probably considered pretty mellow on this site but looks like a good mild street cam with strong mid range.

To be honest I wouldn't even really consider that cam, what are you thinking about going with it? The 224 is probably the most popular cam around these days in terms of driveability and power. I went slightly higher and my driveablilty is pretty dang good as well. So depending on if you have restrictions or something I would look at something like the 224

Not even close. You cam is huge compared to a 224 on a 114 LSA, even if it was on a 112 it would even sound close to yours.

Mine thru my LT's, ORY & Hooker almost sounds stock to the insuspecting.
