How Does This Setup/recipe Sound For Cam Only
How Does This Setup/recipe Sound For Cam Only ok ls1 full bolt ons minus intake manifold throttle body and maf.
im doing this setup
-comp cams 232 intake/236 exhaust 113+2 lsa
-patriot extreme spring set
-trick flow 7.400 hardened push rods
-melling select oil pump
-ls2 timing chain
-and gasket set
anything else that i might need trying to do the job in one weekend from friday afternoon to Sunday night , sounds good for cam only no heads?

beer, patience, all the install tools, beer, some friends to get in the way and humor you oh yeah did I mention beer lol. Sounds like a similar set up to what I'm doing only I'm on a 232/234 duration. Good luck 
Well...I would recommend getting an adjustable timing chain and a cam degree kit. It takes a little learning how to use it, but is worth it in the end. My Comp Cam was off 4 degrees with the dots lined up.
Also, you will probably need either 7.425 or 7.450 length pushrods depending on which lobes you are getting XE-R or XFI. You may want to mic the base circle of the cam before choosing the pushrods.
Finally, I would highly recommend renting the install tools...they will save your a$$. The valvespring tool and the balancer install tool are worth their weight in gold!

this is what matt from ttp set me up with i trust his decision and choice of parts 100 percent they are good guys down there and they know there ****. i wouldn't doubt anything he recommends. im not too crazy about the adjustable chain im just throwing on a ls2 i don't want any more complication. anything else before i start maybe this friday or next friday bc its the last thing im doing in my shop im closing down end of the month and opening up some where else for better location.
