engine teardown with pictures
I took all the valvetrain components off. Unfortunately, I hoped for a bent pushrod or something but nooo, the damn things where straight...well what did I expect they are TSP hardened pushrods, I knew in the back of my mind that wasnt it. So I took the heads off and found that there was little metal shavings in the exhaust (ports which you can see in the photos) of #1 and #3 cylinders. Plus, #1 piston looks to have a gap that is way too big in the sleeve, and I can see the piston ring and its somewhat bent. But, I am still unconclusive as to whether or not I spun a bearing in the block. Any input would be helpfull.
Is that piston damage from a over rev event before mods? What's your current mod list?
*edit* Found your mod list, did you check PTV clearance before the motor was started? How long has this been together before this happened? Anything in the oil?
