Default change out stock lifters??

When should a person change out stock lifters? I have a 99 ws6 with 35000 miles on it and am planning a heads and cam install soon. The cam will probably be a tr224 224 567 567 112+4.

Will the stock lifters be fine for a while still?

I have that cam in my car, put it in at around 55,000 miles. I am running stock heads still. If I were going to do heads I WOULD replace the stock lifters, probably with the LS7 "cadillac" lifters. You have to take the heads off to get to them anyway, so why not do them while you are in there? I am sure that you could get away with using the stockers just fine, I have had no problems with them. Replacing them while the heads are off is almost no extra work and it is cheap peace of mind.

I put a set of LS7 lifters in there when I did my head swap, just for peace of mind. I say do it, good insurance for $100!!
