Default 5.3 heads

i have a set of 5.3 heads that i am going to get set up and do a a cam and about 3000 stall also spray. not worried just yet about what cam i need, but i need to know what to do to the heads to make them flow better are the valve sizes the same as ls-6 heads? what springs should i use?

You'll need to get them ported, bigger valves as well and springs vary upon cam application.

PM or Call Gunnar at Patriot, he could give you a good deal if you're thinking budget.

Otherwise, TEA is a good choice as well, they are a bit more $$ but their heads put out serious power. A stage 1.5 would be great.

On average a port job can run in the $650 neighbourhood (I think that it is what PP charges, Gunnar can tell you)
