Default Stock Injectors Enough?

Would I need bigger injectors on a 98 with a 228/230 cam and a set of AFR 205's with FAST 90?

your stock injectors should be good for the 450's and up a lil...might want to upgrade the fuel pump tho

228/230, can we say VRx4!?

As for the injectors, its always good to run the calculator, and if I recall the 98's in stock form had the lowest "rated" injectors.

Only way to tell is datalog via live monitoring.
Best way to increase or maintain injector capacity is having an adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Only after that can you make the decision to change or not.

I think the 98 had the 28.8 injectors like the 01-02. You have a considerable amount of money tied up in that setup, I'd go ahead and upgrade to at least the SVO red-tops. Just my 2 cents worth tho.

Well I guess just another reason not to wait for a tune. I imagine, a tune with A/F will help identify the answer.

When I did my swap, I put in a set of SVO red top 30lbs. Since the fuel pressure is higher on the camaro, they end up being in the 36lb range.

With just my cam, I was at 115%+ IDC, not good. You should get atleast the SVO red tops.

Not true- 01 and 02's had the 28's, Never heard that the 98's had them as well.

I am at 97% duty right now and you would be over my power, so you would definatly need to change them out.

Man, I was 95% with just bolt-ons, though I have a 2000 with the slightly smaller injectors.

Better to be safe than sorry.

I'm running the red tops with my current stroker combo and all is well.
