Default 6.0 heads vs Ls6 heads

BTW the search engine sucks
I am building a big cube motor and looking at 6.0 vs ls6 heads I know the cc is larger but I can make that up with the piston to keep CR around 11.1 . Any feelings one way or another? I know 6.0 is a LOT cheaper and the flow #s look pretty good. Advice is welcome (if you have done it or seen it)

why don't you just use 5.7 heads if you want to keep compression. ls1 heads are more similiar to the 6.0 heads then they are the ls6 heads. if you want max power spend the money and get the ls6 heads. if you want normal power then the ls1 heads. the 6.0's really aren't even a good option for you.

Trust me go with the 6.0L heads. I get 10+ cfm more out of them from low-mid lifts over the LS1/LS6 heads. And they flow well over .500 as well.

The 6.0L Aluminum truck heads (casting 317) and the LS6 (casting 243)have the same D port Exhaust, and the same designed intake runner. The main difference is the chamber size 6.0L 69-70 CC, LS6 63 CC. The 6.0L heads are a great option for big displacement motors. I can sell you a set of core 6.0L heads for half the price of lS6. $500.00 vs $1000.00 you do the math!!

Yea there are two different 6.0 liter heads the LQ4 and LQ9 I believe the LQ9 have the same exhaust port shape as the LS6 heads. They are the ones found on the Esclade 6.0 liter and new Silverado SS.

I have a set for sale $450. #317. The exaust ports are the same D port, but the intakes are NOT the same ports. Similar, but different.

I'd get the LQ9's and have a top notch porter like MTI, GTP, LPE, SRP etc do their thing. TEA also had done some very nice 6.0 heads, I'd consider them too.
