This cam is the perfect compromise!!! Just remember when the car is going its fine. Its when you dip below 2000 or so rpms with the large cams that the tuning makes a big difference. When My cam was first installed I tried to drive it home without a tune... The car stalled in an intersection with a semi coming at me. Worst experience I have ever had in my car! I had to drive with two feet to make sure I kept the rpms above 2200.

BTW, with my 228/232 I made 444rwhp 417rwtq on motor through a Rossler T3 A4, and a strange built rear with 3:73 gears. I'm going with a TSP M3 next year.

If you're going to go custom and want a good cam that will run strong off the bottle and really like the gas as well, I'd recommend a 228/238 114+4. Why?

228 intake lobe on a 110 intake centerline is a good common proven intake lobe with good valve events for an LS engine. 238 exhaust lobe to help with the added gas flow of the nitrous. A 114 LSA will open the exhaust valve a bit sooner, which will lose some low end torque off the bottle, but on the bottle you have all the torque you need. With a higher LSA, we're trading TQ we can't use, for HP we can. Only 5 degrees of overlap will have some noticeable chop at about an 850rpm idle, provide plenty of vacuum for all your accessories, and be very driveable, even on those days you have a bad headache.

Go with an SS3600 and 3:73 gears.

It should be a LOT of fun!

yeah..im definetly suggesting the torquer v2 or the F13...get it on a 114lsa or perhaps that 112 lsa...check that stall for both cams to be around a 3200..that works optimally. i spoke directly with the creator of the f13 (that is in my sig), and he claimed a stall around 3200 is optimal for those cams

Really? why? Explain?

An F13 doesn't have a large enough split to get the most power out of even a medium shot of nitrous, I wouldn't recommend that, but I do understand that people want others to have what they have if they're happy with it.. it's just not a good nitrous cam though.

I just wanted to give you a little bit of reason why I suggested the cam I did, and help you understand the reasons instead of just saying, "Hey I have this cam, it's a great cam, you should have one too." I'll also say something else, the cam I suggested is nothing like the cam I run in my car, because my engine is different than yours. A lot of people will also say if you're spraying under a 200 shot that cam choice hardly matters. That's BS and internet heresay also. Shots as small as 100hp cam greatly benefit from a properly specced cam. Here's another fact: A nitrous cam vs an NA cam OFF the bottle will have a lot less of a power difference (nitrous cam making slightly less) OFF the bottle than ON bottle (the nitrous cam makes a lot more than the difference it lost NA).

Here is a thread of mine that might help you with your decision. There is some pretty useful info in this thread. I went with a custom grind and so did a few others in this thread.
