I have been thinking of either getting my 243 LS6 heads ported or buying some aftermarket heads (Trick Flows or DARTS) I am leaning toward buying Trick Flow Heads off of Vengeance Racing but undecided. I havent made my mind up yet but I see that Allan@Futral Motorsports sells DARTS and I am a very big fan of his stuff. He if memory serves me right a few years ago he ran his best times then with these type heads. I have seen in person a lot of people with trick flow heads and they seem to be a very nice HP pieces. Did the DARTS you had on the car perform as good as these Larry Meaux heads or did these kick the DARTS butt? Let me know because I am in the market to gain some extra performance and THANKS in ADVANCE.

I am sure the guy does amazing heads but the flow numbers you listed are a waste. Very few people run a cam with 650 lift much less all the way to 850. The mid lift numbers 200 to 550 is where you want great flow numbers. Alot of people talk 600 numbers but its like dyno numbers. Peak power/flow is for people who like to talk big and be mr big dick

you do realize that people who buy these heads are building a serious race motor right? In case you dont know futral runs these heads on their shop car and even ron from vengeance runs these heads and they are both running 9's na with stock cubed motors so they are some of the best you can buy

I don't think he was knocking the use for racing apps, but yeah, for the street they would be overkill. I mean, who actually runs >700 lift on the street, even high 600s?

anybody who knows anything about ls heads would know that these are all out race heads so that is the only reason i responded to his remark about the flow numbers listed are useless...obviously if he is listing flow numbers and saying they hold that flow to over .800 inches of lift then you would know that he is planning on having a cam with huge amounts of lift

Just because they don't go static doesn't meen they are useless. Those flow numbers are amazing for having such a small chamber.

How about this for the rest of the numbers. Exhaust numbers are flowed with no pipe.

Lift Intake Exhaust
.200 137.6 102.4
.300 198.1 149.4
.400 249.3 183.5
.450 268.1
.500 284.6 212.6
.550 295.7
.600 310.6 229.4
.650 317.3

These heads are going on my 383 which also does duty when needed as my backup daily driver (especially during tax and hunting season). I am not running that big of a cam, but thinking of upgrading.

Wow, you must have run your own heads on the dyno to know that... Oh, you are just requoting some bullshit that someone told you. Good to see you have a mind of your own.

It is not just the cfm that counts. You have to think about other things like port velocity. There is also the fact that these heads do not drop off like most others. They hit a number and maintain that. These flow numbers may seem low to some, but these heads will produce hp numbers just as good as Trickflow heads that flow 340 cfm.
