Default after head/cam install

I'm about to get a head/cam package soon and I know I will need a tune after I have it installed with my A4. But the question is after the install, will the car run like $hit or does it just not put out all that it could? So could drive her around for a while till I got the tune or do I need to get a dyno tune right after the H/C install?
I will be installing:
stage II 5.3l heads
224/224 112LSA

Thanks,
Warren

Warren,
It will run decent, but I would have used a 114 for an A4 personally. There's definatly going to be a couple types of idle symptoms but for the most part, just get it edited asap because the SES is gonna drive you nuts from the random misfire codes setting off and most likely some stalling issues.

Joe.

Running like $hit or not is a bit subjective, but you might want to be ready to slam it into neutral each time you're about to stop so it won't kill.
