Default cam bearings

what color are the cam bearings in a ls1 stock.
i removed my cam and the bearings are kinda a gold color
but they do not have no groves in them so i was just trying to find out if i need new bearings or not

Mine were silver in appearance. The gold color could be from oil discoloration. If you're concerned about the bearings - mic them and see if they are up to spec. If the mileage is decent and there are no markings you should be okay.

do a search, their are tons of threads about this. It seems to be normal, especially if their is no wear on the cam and the motor ran fine and held good oil pressure with the stock cam.

If they are gold/copper, they are worn out.
