Track results: TEA '1.5' 5.3L heads & sleeper cam
Nothing outstanding here, but I thought I'd share my results with you guys anyway. First of all, my car is a pig... 3700 lbs. raceweight with me in it, and I only weigh 175. But I'm not building a race car here... It's my daily driver 365 days a year, even here in Indiana. So the subwoofer & amp stay, even though I gave the spare & jack the boot. Oh, and the Simpson baby seat stays too.
Anyway, my previous best on ET Streets was 12.70 at 106 MPH. With the TEA Stage 1.5's (5.3L heads), stock manifolds, gutted cats, a Comp Cams 222/224 .566/.567 115 LSA cam (sleeper) and just the basics of programming (still running a little rich), I managed a best of 12.26 at 110.81 MPH on a 1.77 60-foot this evening. (75 degrees out, 700' altitude, 94% humidity.)
Like I said, it isn't exactly outstanding, but for a car that idles like stock (okay, maybe a little louder with the gutted cats) and on a track--Indianapolis Raceway Park--that would only let me stall up to 1800 RPM before I got wheelspin, I'll take it. I think with headers the car would be in the 11's easy.

you also have to take weather into consideration What was the weather before the heads and now with them? But man, the stock manifolds and weight are killing the car! Not bad for one hellova sleeper setup But its ALOT left in her
