Default Exhaust/air in Coolant?

okay so heres a basic rundown of the situation.

01 LS1 w/ 22k in an rx7

1. When a clear hose is placed from the overflow on my radiator in to a clear bottle of water it produces air bubbles in the water but only when the engine is running.

2. The engine produces MASSIVE amounts of steam, all coming from the heads (via the steam tee)

3. Compression testing showed a loss of pressure

4. Just pulled the heads, nothing wrong with the head gasket, heads aren't visibly cracked nor are they at all warped (checked on a 100% flat surface), neither is the block.

5. T-stat works fine as does the water pump

What else could have caused this problem? I'm out of ideas but don't want to put the engine back together until I know it's fixed. Right now my only thought is maybe someone pulled the heads on the engine at some point and didn't torque them back down properly?

Rob

What headgasket was in it when you pulled the heads?
I see nitrous in your sig. Any detonation burnt plugs etc.
Did you inspect the sleeves looking for a cracked sleeve?
