XHP LS6 race heads, who knows about them?
I'm going with a new H/I combo soon and right now I'm going to go with the TFS 215 "as cast", I already have the YT ultra lites so that's money I'm saving. A local dyno shop said I should go with the XHP LS6 race head...I know nothing about them. TFS has been proven to work good with any cam and I have what most of u guys would call a baby cam, 228R w/ 112. The intake I'm choosing is the Street Warrior...whenever that thing comes out. I looked on XHP's website but there is no info on them.
So, if u have any info on the XHP head please let me know. Oh, both are within $100 of each other so cost doesn't count.

These heads look to be just the ticket for me. I am looking for a budget race head which will see track time at 7+ k rpm
How is Ptv clearance with these?

I have not heard of these heads, and see they are a new sponsor.
That’s great maybe we will see some more quality heads on the market.
Alan@XHP no offense to you or your company, but the TFS heads are IMO a smarter investment. They are proven and are damn near impossible to beat in quality, flow, consistence, power, etc. A terrific cylinder head.
Maybe the XHP head will be the "next best head" but until there are some results with this cylinder head I would stick with a proven winner.
Give ma call or send me a PM and I will get you a price on the TFS.
Alan look forward to seeing some great results from your company, again don't mean any insults. Good luck on the product.

Nothing wrong with trying new things. But those flow numbers dont tell most of the folks on here anything. What to they flow at .200, .300, and .400. Those are the important ones. The heads that flow there are the ones that make the power on the street. And thats the vast majority on here. The flow in the upper lift range is decent at best.

I would like to know the .200 thru .500 flow since I have a street car and that's where I'm going to make my power. I have since changed my mind on bumping up my forged LS6 and now I'm going with a LS2 conversion with a slightly bigger street cam.

I agree with Kong that the Race head may be a bit much on your current application. Alan was simply answering the mans question. As for your question on low lift flow numbers the heads flow,
160@.200
223@.300
289@.500
308@.550
and so on that is leaving where Alan started. The heads are great cylinder heads but if you are looking for a smaller CC head for the smaller displacement engine, or lower power car, we have plenty of different cylinder heads to match your combo we have used and made big power with. Its all about parts matching. And again, my apologies for the website lacking in info. We got slammed this summer, when i had originally intended for the site to be finished up. Changes in the site will be made, and made BIG time. For now if you have any questions give me or Alan a call.

thanks for ur help guys. this is why I made this thread, to see what type of head it is, not that I wouldn't believe the makers of this head but getting others input is important to me.

Was a 3.9 or 4.125 bore used when flowing these heads.
And can I use them on my 346?
I know a lot of the Stage 3 heads from patriot and TSP are meant for a 4.125 bore I am just wondering if I could use them on my 346 or if they are even recommended for a stock CI LS1.

Those heads are not recommended for a stock displacement engine. I have many, and i do mean MANY, other cylinder heads that we have done designed to make optimum power on a stock displacement engine. I am available at the shop 9am-6pm, feel free to give me a call to find out which of our cylinder heads will be the best for your specific application.
