Is 400 rwhp possible with this setup?
98 vette mn6 with vararam, Tpis lt's, fast 78mm instake, x-pipe with high flow cats, b&b bullets, MTI G1 228/232... 113 lsa cam. My goal is to have good power under the curve but still have over 400 rwhp. The car will see very little track time and will mostly be street driven on the weekends.
Well I've got a pretty good deal on the fast 78 which is one reason as I'm considering the 78 over the 90. In the long run I'm going forced induction but I'm not sure if i want to get a magnuson, paxton or p1sc procharger. Would it still be beneficial to get a ls6 intake instead of the 78?

If you can get a good deal with the fast then go with it, yes it flows more then an ls6. Could you hit your goal with an ls6? sure I think so with a good tune you should get what your looking for. If at all possible the fast 90/90 is superior to all for now, so go with it if you can.
Your goal will happen with an LS6. A fast 78 isn't worth the investment if your goal is 400rwhp. I have witnessed cars with similar cam grinds lay down 440+rwhp w/ 243 stock 243 castings. Keeping your combo simple with tried and true parts will get to your goal. Good Luck..
I think you can get to 400 rwhp with that setup; of course, now might be a good time to slap an underdrive pulley on as well and that should certainly help give you an extra 5 - 10 rwhp.
