Default Which Spark Plug/Wire Combo for an ls1?

Well fellas ive decided to attempt the plug wire change myself sometime soon, and am trying to decide on which setup to run. Im think MSD wires with NKG spark plugs....almost all the ls1 MSD plugs seem to be 8.5 , but i heard that those were only for cars running longtubes? mine has stock headers, and definately wont have longtubes anytime soon. I found a kit on the WS6 Store's site that seems to include everything I need, im leaning towards it but i wanted some opinions first....heres the link! http://www.ws6project.com/user_stor/...7c34966d17a352
thanks fellas!

the only crappy part about MSD....they are hard to click on, and sometimes will unclick with the slightest tug....But they are still a good product. And if its your first time, its easiest to get #8 by jacking the car up and doing it from there

3/8th rachet, 1in extention, 3 in extention, swivel, and a 5/8s socket and a 5/8ths sparkplug socket....that should make it easy for all of them

I can do all my plugs in 20-30 minutes. I take the coil packs off and that clears it up great, no need to jack the car up. And when you reinstall the coil packs, you don't need to put all the bolts back in, mine only has 2 each side.

The NGK's and msd's are a great setup, sometimes they are hard to click on though...

I might try to take the pass packs off this time and see how that goes

Just use your stock coils. There are better things to blow $600 on

Dont take it as I'm trying to be a smartass just informing but if your stock you do not have headers they are manifolds. MSD wires seem to work great for many people, personally I have gone with Taylor Made 10.4mm wires with ngk plugs and I absolutely love the combo.

I will be trying the Motoblue 0 ohms wires from from a none sponsor for this site. They are $99.95 but look to be the same 0 ohm wire Granatelli sells for $170. Will be interesting to see how it compares to my 2.5 year old MSD wires.

if your having problem sliding the wire on try a little di-eletric grease inside the jacket and it will slide right on.

I use to use MSD and then Taylors, but one day I was in a pinch and purchased a set from Kragen (lifetime warranty). I saw no performance difference using these with NGK TR55 plugs. The good thing also, is that I can trade them in for new ones every 4th oil change, no questions asked and at no cost.

im thinking of the MSD superconductors with the TR55's as well, but i do have long tubes so am i going to anything doing so. At the WS6 store the MCD packaged deal shows two different part numbers, is one for header install and the other for manifold

That's what you need. Stock wires work great, because they double click so you know the wire is on good.
