Car is having trouble idling...lots of surging. Mods are in sig. The car has always had a little surge with the TR230 cam, but it has started surging really bad and dies fairly often, especially in the first few minutes after startup.... hot or cold.
I've done a PCM reset and an idle relearn (tried more than once) and it hasn't changed even after driving a few hundred miles
Any ideas? Plugs maybe? I have about 10k on some TR6's.

Re: Car is having trouble idling...lots of surging. 10k is alot of miles on TR6's. I'd just switch those out anyway for performance issues. I believe most change them every 3-5k.
But check the hoses that go form the valve covers to the intake and etc. Might be a leak. Also just check and make sure the intake bolts are all tq'ed down good.
if not, maybe the hooter weather has played some effects on the car. I mean did the car just start to get worse in the warmer air?
might need higher idle, tb drilled a little more, or some timing added in park. That cam can be a PITA in some cars from what I see, but mostly A4's
