Default Cylinder Rust And Honing

Hey all, a while ago I picked up a 5.3 block for really cheap. The cylinder walls have a bit of rust on them. I have already put a light coat of grease to stop any further rusting
I would like to just hone them and use my 5.3 pistons with new rings, how far can I go? And just to make sure if it is too much to fix with just a hone I can just bore it to accept stock 5.7 pistons out of an ls1 correct?

generally if the cylinder are rusty you need to take atleast .005 out to clean them up,need oversize pistons at that point,go to 5.7
