Quick question about factory heads

Guys I appologize in advance if this is a newbie question.

I own a '98 SS and have done a head/cam swap. My question is this. . . . are all factory heads the exact same that came on a 1998 f-body LS1? Are there any stampings or markings of any kind that are VIN specific to each specific car?

For example, if I were to purchase a set of heads off another member's 1998 LS1, would you be able to tell that the heads are off his vehicle instead of mine? I guess I never looked on my OEM heads to see if there were any markings.

As far as I know the only casting number on the heads is a three digit number that indicates the model LSx engine they came on stock. You'd be looking for 806 heads for your 98.

there isnt anything that would be vehicle specific on the heads. So if you took his heads, no one else would be the wiser, unless the casting number is different.
