will ls1 head fit 5.3 block?

i konw 5.3 head fits 5.7 but does 5.7 fit 5.3?

Yes the should work just fine. All the LS based engines parts are pretty much enterchangable except for the LS7.

keep the 5.3 heads,the smaller bore shrouds the valves too much in the 5.7 heads,not only that you lose compression

yeah dont ditch the 5.3l heads....the ls1 heads on the 5.3l block will hurt you in performance unless your going to supercharge it or do anything else to up the compression.
