Default Should I...?

The most i have gotten on a tank of gas was 165 miles. Being 13.8 miles a gallon. Between city and highway driving.
With it being my DD do yall think it would be worth it to get a cam?
If so how much do yall think my mpg will decrease?

What r your mods? I get about the same. I only work 4 miles from the house though and i blame my poor mileage on that.

That's not very good gas mileage. Are you an a4 with a stall or m6?

Dennis93TA I'll be in Charleston for nuke school in the beginning may. Where are the strips around there?

I was getting 13-15 mpg in the city with a 232/234 cam with all bolts on giving it hell everyday! Sounds like you need a slight tune up and then consider a cam if you are worried about gas mileage.

I am getting 9.8 mpg on city driving mainly back & forth to work 7 miles eacg way. My dos are comp cam xr275 222/224 566/568 112 LSA, cai, stainless works off road headers, 2800 stall , & a dyno tune. I have to take the car back for fine tune because from day on after tune the car engine dies whenever i rev up the engine & let off the gas pedal. I only wish i can the mieage you're getting. Something is definitely wrong with mine.

Definately something wrong with yours. I get better gas mileage and I have a larger cam and a larger converter. I get between 15-18 mpg with mixed driving. Then again, your car weighs twice as much

Damn, that sucks. I feel better about my car now. You def need to get a ine tune. It shouldn't cut off comin down off the rpms. Are you hand calc your mileage or are you using the dash? The dash is usually off after some mods and a tune(at least in the diesel trucks).

It takes me about 7-10min to get to work and i get about 13mpg. Mixed i've gotten as much as 20mpg. I still have a lot of tuning to do so i'm not too worried.

Maybe you need to find a new tuner too.
