Default ARP rod bolts vs Katech

I'm doing rod bolts with my new H/C setup. It's the MS4 so it'll have to spin up to the 6600 range. I was looking into the Katech rod bolts but they are on backorder for I'm not sure how long and truth be told they are quite pricey compared to the ARP's. I was always under the impression that ARP was a top notch company and well trusted but I see alot of negative things people are saying about swapping out the rod bolts with ARP's. Are people really having that many problems with them? Or should I be alright swapping them out. I mean they are half the price of the Katechs and I'm not sure how long i'll have to wait to get the Katech's. What do you guys think and what are your honest experiences with the ARP's?

Thanks

.... and some are not.... do you want to chance it? Some have switched over and been fine and others have not (from what I have read on here). I was gonna switch'em out when I do my H/C but decided not to chance it after searching on here. Some people need to have rods resized after switching and it causes them to spin a bearing. Katechs weigh about the same as stockers and apparently clamp the same and I haven't read about any issues using them. I have just decided to get a cam that doesn't spin past 6400-65000 to be safe so I will be alright with my sorry 98 rod bolts. ARP makes a quality product so this is not a knock on them. I tried to get Katechs two months ago when I started collecting parts and they were on backorder then too.

I think I'll go with the Katech's... It's just a more comfortable feeling.

I've got ARP pro series bolts, just haven't gotten around to installing them yet. Waiting for god knows how long for the Katech's was out of the question for me.

I put in ARP rod bolts when I did my most recent H/C swap (same as yours) about a year ago. I spin this thing to 6800RPM probably everytime I drive it. I've had no problems, and oil pressure is still excellent.

I too tried Katech. Checked their website - no way to order them online. So I called. The first time I called I got a receptionist that couldn't tell me anything, and that "the guys" were out to lunch (at 3:00PM ET). Second time I called I got put on hold for 15-20 minutes, got mad and hung up. The third time I called I finally got a hold of someone who informed me that I wouldn't receive my bolts for at minimum several weeks as they had none in stock.
