Default Little Hlp Throttle Body

I took my throttle body apart today and when i was pulling out the main shaft a little washer came out ? Where does this go and does anyone have a breakdown of one of these throttle bodys?

Im pretty sure it goes in between the throttle cable piece on the end of the shaft and the bearing in the throttle body.

i'm fairly sure that when you took out the iac valve, you may have pushed it in. i've done this before but after a few starts it went back to normal. the washer you dropped goes between the TPS sensor and the bearing.

i'm almost positive that the iac is the problem. the only other thing it could be is if the butterfly isn't making a good seal with the body.

thats what it is. you're getting to much air at idle.

That washer is not needed, it goes on the end of the shaft where the TPS senser is. Porters usuallly dont even put them in becuase there isn;t side load on the shaft. Is the throttle sticky like the blade is not centered and isn't closing completely making the IAC take up the difference. If that not that case I would say the hole is your problem. I know Pat G knows his **** so did you follow his directions on the size of the hole. If so I would JB weld it shut, smooth it out, and try a little smaller hole.

because the iac is adjusting itself to bring the idle down. the throttle body has to be closed for this to happen.

1/4" is a big *** hole. You may need to loosen the bolts that hold the plate and open and close the TB so the blade can center itself. It's possible that it's hangin open if not centered properly. If that doesn't help the hole is too big.

I would say the blade isn't centered not letting the blade close all the way. Is the tab on the throttle arm resting on the stop screw? I bet it isn't
