not sure if you mean the 4 speed.. the auto's are 4speed, manuals are 6speed.

the higher stall tc was well worth it too. go read up in the auto trans section about it. alot of coverage there.

autos have stalls already.... they are just not as big. i went with a yank ss 3600 and mine drives like stock until i hit the gas. in an auto a stall is one of the first things i would do no matter what. the only thing is your going to have to match your stall and cam. i just ordered a 224/224 on a 112 lsa and it should match up nice but you want to make sure you dont get a stall that is to low. you will be please with a yank ss 3600 (after getting it i wish i would have went with a 4000).

I am not talking about autox. My setup is driven towards street/strip use. It is not lowered although it has a slight rake due to the spring setup in the front. This left room for the drag radials in the rear when that time comes.

After you do some reading you will be surprised on home much chassis/suspension will get you. In the end it is all about getting the power you do have to the ground.

Oh...and when the rear end blows make sure you have AAA!

I've got 17's on all 4 corners with 315s in the rear 285's in the front (my sig does not show these). The rear needed a bit of BFH (Big Fucking Hammer) to the wheel well and now shes good at stock ride height.

Also, what everybody said in this thread is true. I started off like you, not really knowing **** (no offense, of course) - but after reading, comprehending and then finally doing it for myself I have a supercharged 383 thats easily making more than 600hp.

It's all about listening, buddy. Which is why I personally don't have many posts. Good luck with your build up, you are going to be very happy with your LS even with just headers and duals, I'm sure.

I dont know about the definite 500ft lbs of torque. Thats the tough one to achieve. However, the stroked LS1's do have a lot of area under the torque and HP curves for sure. It is all in the match up of the heads and cam. Dont get cheap when it comes to picking out those items. My 383 specs are in my sig. Those numbers are with only only 23 degrees of timing on 93 octane pump gas.

AAA membership is under 100 a year and they will tow you a ways for free. If you are going to do any strip time and you are not going to trailer it (like me) then it would be a wise investment.

I am a newb to so I am not sure rim and tire sizes but if you want it only as a daily driver then you can mix and match whatever you want that fits. They have a pretty good sticky in the wheels and tires area concerning this if I remember correctly.
