HPE Megadeath Cam 244/242 112lsa
i have a friend who is picking up an 05 GTO next week. he already bought all the supporting mods without even owning the car, LT's, CB, CAI, TB, UD pulley etc. , and he's set his mind on this cam. i told him about going with something like an MTI X1 or a custom reverse split if he really wants a reverse grind. i remember Predator-Z thread where he was talking about reverse cams and what not and there was some good info in it, i know HPE have said it this cam wouldn't have any PTV issues with stock heads, would that be a good cam for a 364ci engine, or would he better off with a smaller reverse grind ?. i know for a fact he won't stripe the car down to do 1/4 mile racing.
specs on the cam are:
244/242 612/610 112 lsa
specs on the cam are:
244/242 612/610 112 lsa

It's soooo easy to ruin the street manners and power under the curve with a cam that's too big. The smallest cam that gets the job done is the one you want.
I tuned a cam-only GTO with a FAST intake that made 451 rwhp and 415 rwtq. The cam was only a 224/230 .581/.592 114LSA +2. It was very tame, yet made lots of power under the curve.
