Hey for all the guys who cleaned and reused the intakes like mine. How clean were you able to get it? I mean you may can see like the smallest tiniest little shiny particles here and there but they are literally smaller than a grain of dust. I don't see at this point any way anything could cause an issue but I wanted to check first.

No I appreciate help from whoever and you seem to have some resourceful info so thanks. I'm way past the point of shaking and still hearing things. This thing could go through a 10 scale earthquake and not drop anything out. I think I'm gonna go ahead and risk it later tonight and slap it on...

Got it on and damn it pulls like a train on the top end. Should be good for a .1 or .2 gain or so! I'll find out Friday when I shoot for 12.5's on stock internals and m6 w/ stock 10 bolt!

Guys if you have oppurtunity and it's not physically cracked pick up a blown motor intake and have it cleaned at a machine shop or by yourself and save some $!!!

Glad it worked out for you!

The LS6 intake really adds a bit of torque and hp to the mix, I threw on a LS6 intake at the same time did the LS7 clutch (which is heavier and eats more torque and HP). I still managed a gain of 8HP and 10ft/lb of torque across the whole curve. That whole seat of pants feel isn't in your head in case anyone says it might be...

Glad it worked out for you man! That's the 3rd ls6 i've sold (first off a blown motor). I really am glad it's working out for you and continues to do so! I know I worked a long time on painting it and making it look good just to fill it with piston. I wasn't going to use it so glad someone was willing to keep it around

Good luck and let us know what it improves your times

William

Picked up 1.5 tenths and 1.5mph! So worth the swap.
