Yes that is a valve stem seal and im 99.9% positive. there is no other springs that size inside the motor. You can see where it looks like it stretched for some reason or got in a bind and broke.
the camera is my friends camera lol and its pretty nice lol

Ya you have a point, i figure i am going to have to remove the valve spring anyways to find it so ill make sure its cool. I will also talk to patriot....

I found a similar spring on my drainplug almost 2 years ago. It ended up being a valve seal "spring". I will post up some pics when photobucket is working again.
