Ok guys I have a 2002 automatic Z-28 with every bolt on except crank pulley, a 3200 vigilante converter, CNC/hand polished and ported heads and now am on my 4th cam. History...with cam and headers the car made 371. With the TNT 100 shot, the car made 503 (STOCK HEADS) at 11.5:1 a/f. Now then the difference between then and now are the stage II heads, and the lobe is different on the cam, now a 112. The nitrous profile cam specs are 222-226 566-569 112 AND it will now be a 150 shot w/ 1.75 comp rocker arms, JE forged pistons, rings, and rods. The car on motor made 400 rwhp w/out rocker arms and pistons (which don't add hp I know). So if I gained 130 off of a 100 shot of TNT, and I add a 150 shot to this motor that is set up for nitrous...can I make 600 rwhp?

And if I can't, and I decide to get a larger lift cam, what cam do I get? Thunderracing has a nitrous cam and a reverse split pattern cam which are 224/227 563/569 114 and 227/224 569/563 114. Ls1 speed also has a good sized cam which is 224/228 581/581 114. What do you guys think?

"in theory" you would need a 200 shot to hit 600 rwhp from 400 on the motor..but that's not alway's true..like for instance my car did 376 rwhp on motor but 603 rwhp on the 200 shot...just because it was set up for n20 though i beleive..my cam is 224/232 .568/.573 114 +2 so it would help disperse n20 better out the exhaust...you DO NOT want a reverse split cam on n20 though..bad new's after a while...it can be done..but if you spray say 100 shot an a revers split u would only gain 80 or so..then on to 150 shot u would gain even less ect...plus cylinder pressure would be insanly high..so dont use a reverse split...you could possibly hit 600rwhp with your set up...only 1 way to find out
but if i where you I would run the G5X2 cam on spray to make 600rwhp...Later,
Carter
