You got it! If you have 70K or more, you may want to get the TSP deal or just buy a ported ls6 from anyone. Besides, you're gonna pay atleast half that to port the oil gallies on your current one you have now

Thanks man, sometimes its hard to get a straight answer when asking on this site, 99% of the time i just wind up calling the vendor anyways. But this time i will take your advice and just get a new one, thats what i thought would be the good thing to do anyway

I have a opinion definetly better than stock BUT requires sone grinding on the cover and the pump? correct me if im wrong or you can substitute a LS2 chain - beefier and fits w/o issue.Unless your running some radical cam and lots of spring pressure - run the LS2 another .02c

I think you confused me with one of the other posters, I agree that running a HV on stock bottom end is the wrong choice which is why I am going to use a ported/polished, shimmed LS6 pump.

I bought the SLP oil pump/ timing chain set, sold the timing chain later on but the oil pump looks like really good quality. Have not installed it yet, the cam/heads are going in next month

He said Melling is far superior, and recommend it highly.
I suspect the mark up he has on it is also substantially higher as its an aftermarket part as opposed to a modified part he has to buy from a dealer.

I have the SLP pump and chain, and the chain clears the pump no problem, dont have the cover on yet though.
