Default EGR Removal Problems

I removed my EGR this weekend by using the plug in the intake and the plate on the manifold. I put everything back together and now the car is running rough and there is popping coming from the exhaust. Does anybody have any ideas what is causing this. Thanks

Try reseting the ecu, sounds like the motor is compensating for the system that was removed

or you don't have a good seal

air around the intake plug, or air getting into the exhaust could really throw things off.

I was thinking it might be a bad seal. I took off the block off plate and am going to put it back on and hopefully that was the problem.

Would i need to reset the ecu if i clear the codes with a tuner.

Thanks

yeah, just disconnect the neg from the batt for a little while. Check for vacuum leaks on every part you removed.

clearing the computer will set all a/f and spark adjustments that have been made (some may have been made while running poorly) back to factory baseline.

let the computer totally relearn the a/f curve
