Default Question about CNC machining finish

I was wondering after a set of heads are CNC`d, do you have to smooth the machine marks left by the CNC process or can it be left like is?

You can leave it. Most people do. You don't have to smooth it out.

Great! thanks for the fast reply. The bowls were hand blended, so they are smooth. However the ports still have the machine marks in them. Didn`t know if that would affect anything.

No, a little roughness is good imo.

hand blending (by a pro) is good and may coax out another HP or two. Its the ~80 grit roughness that breaks surface tension and is good for flow, not necessarily the tooling marks from a CNC program. Either way, itll be very close in power, and might not be worth the added price for the insignificant gain.
