5.3 block Ls6 Heads Are they worthwhile? I have a chance to purchase 243 castings fully loaded.
My engine is a 2004 5.3 with 2002 Z06 cam, lifters, springs. 2004 with 9.5 CR and 701 heads.
How much compression can I expect to lose by converting to the 243 castings and will the increased breathing and valve size make up for any HP loss? Is the smaller bore size a real issue regarding larger valves in the 243 casting?
My plan is to eventually use a low pressure supercharger: 6-9#.
