I'm running the Speed Inc. SI2. It's a 224/224 with the details below. Go to TA Pics in my sig and you can find a dyno graph.

Now what if we ran with some PRC Stg 2.5 5.3L heads, would it make some more power over the stock 241's? If so, about how much?
Those are actually the heads I might be getting!

Would definitely love to see 420rwhp. that'd be NICE!

I wouldn't answer with a 100% no. I'd say most of the time, 98%, no. If you have a factory head, with larger valves, and milling done, check the piston to valve clearance.

I had installed this exact setup back in 2002 and the 918s weren't available / popular yet and I had installed a set of isky springs that weren't up to the task. I broke a valve spring, went to change them, and snapped a bolt in a rocker hole so I had to pull the head. I was surprised when I pulled the head to see very shallow eyebrows on the pistons from the intake valves. Granted it was most likely due to the weak vavle springs and valve float since none of the stock pushrods were bent.

Moral of the story, if you are doing anything that will get the valves closer to the pistons, make sure you play it safe and check PtoV clearances.

I wanted to go with a 0.040" commetic gasket and have heard that I'll be fine, but history tells me to play it safe and check first.

The right heads make a difference. The budget heads are hit or miss at best.

Yeah those were some sick numbers. Almost 400rwhp. I think I'm going to get that Cam for sure now. Just need to find someone selling it.

Yeah the reason I went with this cam is because I didnt want to have to rev the motor past what I consider safe for the stock rod bolts (65-6600). When you start going much bigger, you move the powerband up higher.
