Default help 383 sroker on an LS1

what mods do I need to do to my block? how big of sroker can I put in my ls1
with my stock block?

If you're just going to stroke it, you don't need to re-sleeve it. Are you sure you know what you're asking?

Anyway, a 383 would be a 3.903/3.905 bore with a 4.000" stroke. You'll need to get a new crank, pistons, and have your block honed.

I went with the Callies crank and rods they are nice pieces. The block might need the cylinders honed,about the only other thing is a good cleaning. You can expect to pay 3000-5000 for everything. That includes pistons, rings,bearings,timing chain set,cam,and all the little upgrades. That price is if you install the engine your self ,and doesn't include head work. Good luck with it. I like mine but want to go bigger with a LS2 block.
