Car Idling bad, Sputtering.

Default Car Idling bad, Sputtering.

Well my car has been doing this recently, idling lower than usual, and sounding like it has a cam, with a lot of gas smell coming from the exhaust. I also just changed the plugs,and at WOT it misfires, with the check gauges light flashing as I'm WOT. Anybody have any ideas about these problems? I just replaced the O2's about 10k miles ago. Also, at part throttle my car will stutter, like its not getting gas, then it will pick up magically and run fine. Any ideas on what these probelms are?

Any chance you damaged the coolant temp sender when you changed plugs. Broke mine doing headers and had the same symptoms. Potential plug wires not fully seated?

My car does this too. I thought it was tuning related though still could be I'm not sure yet. It's like it has a huge misfire then just goes away all of a sudden. THen if you shut the car off again and fire it right back up it does it again for like 10-15 min

Coolant temp sender is on drivers side? front? and I made sure all my plug wires wre seated. I know the misfire at WOT is a plug with a cracked electrode, because it didn't do that before I changed the plugs. I just would like to find out the sputtering at idle, and the stutter at part throttle. I cleaned my MAF, and that helped the sputter somewhat, but it still does it.

burned plug wire or o2 sensor wire, sputtering will only effect the front o2's and burnt plug wire will go on and off, figuring since you have headers
